Fri 16th (4:15pm) to Sun 18th May (7:00pm)
offshore sailing weekend 25
Where: Yachts Thermopylae and Discovery
Hi All
After 2024's very successful joint cruise with the 4th (Bancroft's sea scouts) we have again booked to take part in a weekend afloat on Thermopylae a 60" Clipper,  and the Discovery a 47" yachtl, in or around the Solent, again  taking 8 scouts from each troop.
These are professionally crewed boats, staffed by fully qualified (Scouting and RYA commercial Royal Yacht Association qualifications) skippers.
We will take two 36th leaders and two from the 4th.
We can offer only eight places split over the  Thermopylae Clipper and Discovery with the other 8 places going to the 4th's scouts we will be mixing crews!
The cost in 2024 was £165 per head, however there will almost certainly be a further increase which so possibly around £190.00, but would include berth fee, food, use of suitable waterproofs, moorings and fuel, as well as transport on the scout minibus, the only additional cost would be personal spending money.   We will confirm the price early 2025...

Fri 20th (6:30pm) to Sun 22nd Jun (2:05pm)
2025 weekend survival camp
Where: thriftwood
We will be holding our Weekend Summer Camp at Thriftwood Scout Campsite at Brentwood from Friday 20th June to Sunday 22nd June

The camp will run from Friday evening about 6.30 pm to 2.30 pm Sunday afternoon and will be an opportunity for younger Scouts to take part in a camp, as well as for the more  experienced Scouts to help run the camp.  The camp will be themed a "survival" weekend with the opportunity to sleep "properly" outdoors in either Bivouacs or hammocks (or obviously tents, for those who want them or if we get inclement weather!!) as well as a little more than the normal cooking on fires etc. The camp will start and finish at Thriftwood. We will not be providing any transport from All Saints.

The cost will be likely be around £65.00 for the camp.  Numbers may be limited.  Full details will be provided nearer the time to those attending.
Scouts' behaviour and attendance at previous camps and meetings, will be considered with regard to attenda...
